250 watt metal halide:  $.20/day    $1.40/week    $6.00/month    $73.00/year

One important factor to remember when calculating the cost to operate high bay and low bay metal halide lights is that your maintenance cost on this type of metal halide light will be far less than any other type of commercial or industrial lighting style.  The bulbs are rated for 20,000 hours and the ballasts typically last for 5-10 years.  For these reasons, metal halide high bay and low bay type lighting is one of the most energy efficients types of lighting.
